Some things are easier said than done. I got the courage to write again and it was to share thoughts and facts to reveal who the real me is. Why was there a need for this in the first place? I’ll tell you.
Until I encountered the theme of our conference, I did not even know there was a real me to reveal or explore. I asked in my last post, why are we here? Is this a question you have asked yourself before? Why the earth? Why the world? Why was it created?
It’s funny but even as a child, I had all these questions. I used to wonder, from the little Christian background I had: "Why will God create us? What will make Him want to make man? Could He not be there alone?"

My questions were not even about who He was. I had gone past that to why will He do what He did? As in, was there a need to have made man? These questions made me see things differently. But then, He was the God of my parents and I continued in that regard.
He had been for the longest time. I knew him but I knew him through them. I knew him through people. I knew him through my Sunday school teachers. I knew him through my pastor. I know him through my church executives in school. I knew him through the sermons preached.
"Who was this God I grew up knowing? What was my personal experience? Did I know Him for myself? "
I had only known him through other people’s experiences, but when it became personal, it was quite difficult and challenging. Honestly, it made me realize that if we’re being real, double standards in the church do exist.
Notice, I’m not pointing fingers at you, I’m including myself in this. That’s exactly why I’ve started this series. The theme of our conference was a real eye-opener for me, and it sparked a completely different pursuit.
Stay tuned for what’s coming next. Until then, take a moment to ask yourself the hard questions and truly reflect: Is this all there is to life, or is there more?
I believe there is more—and my hope is that we discover it sooner rather than later. Do share your thoughts with me.
